Salamah offers integrative counselling for young people, adults and families, with specialist support for youth mental health including self-harm, suicidal ideation, anxiety, trauma and low self-esteem. Our counsellors are trained in Islamic counselling and psychology and have extensive experience supporting teenagers within Muslim communities. While we offer Islamic integrative counselling, we also work with clients from Hindu, Sikh and Black communities, and have therapists trained in neurodivergent counselling, including support for young people and adults on the autism spectrum. Our community-based experience allows us to understand the realities young people face and deliver trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate support both in and beyond the therapy room.

Our Approach

We offer integrative therapy shaped around your values, identity and lived experiences.

Our counsellors have specialist insight into the realities faced by Muslim and ethnic minority communities and understand how faith, culture and family life can influence mental health.

We recognise the impact of identity, race, community expectations and life transitions, and support you in a way that feels respectful and relevant to you.

Although many people come to us for Islamic-integrative counselling, we also work widely across communities. Our counsellors have experience with clients from South Asian, Black, Arab, Sikh and Hindu backgrounds, as well as those navigating neurodivergence including adults on the autism spectrum. We meet you where you are and tailor your sessions to your needs.
